Change has established permanent wallet addresses for Goodsend (on behalf of Goodsend fiscal sponsor, Realize Impact)
Donors use an exchange like Coinbase to make a one-time donation, by sending crypto directly to Goodsend's address
Change converts the crypto donation to fiat currency, and sends the funds as USD to Goodsend's bank account for disbursement
Goodsend evenly disburses the donation as USD to low-income students that have been referred by school partners in Chicago
Donor receives a tax-deductible receipt from Change and thank you's from the Chicago students they helped with Goodsend
Who is Realize Impact?
Realize Impact is our fiscal sponsor organization. Essentially, they lend us their 501(c)3 status, and allow us to intake tax-deductible donations. At the end of each month, they transfer that month’s donations to Goodsend, and we then disburse the funds to the current Chicago students in need.
Who is Change?
They are our donation processing partners. Change processes Goodsend donations (including our crypto donations) from our app and online. Our donors receive tax-deductible donation receipts from their foundation (OCF, EIN is 86-3353394) after each contribution.
