The micro-funding that I've received from Goodsend donors has helped me so much this school year at DePaul University. I have housing support via Depaul USA, but I don't have financial support from anyone in my life. I currently go to school and work, but money still gets extremely tight. I want to say thank you so much to everyone in the Goodsend community. Your help has truly been life-changing!

My mom lost her job in the winter, and the family had been struggling financially ever since. We had to move into a motel, as we had trouble covering household expenses. My family needed some assistance covering the first month's rent at an affordable apartment that we finally found. Thanks to Goodsend donors, we were able to get $300 directly into our bank account to cover these expenses and help my family get to get settled in our new apartment.

I was the sole breadwinner in my household and I provide for my siblings. I had lost employment entering the summer, due to a health issue. The staff at Pritzker College Prep reached out on my behalf, to help cover upcoming bills for my household this summer, as I searched for new employment. I'm the primary provider for my family, as my parents have dealt with employment and legal issues in the past year. The staff at Chicago Bulls College Prep reached out on my behalf to help me cover household expenses for the month of July. Thanks to our Goodsend donors, we were able to receive $250 directly into my bank account to help my family cover expenses and reduce financial stress for the month. I had an abortion procedure planned that wasn't covered by Medicaid, due to the need for surgery and me going under during the procedure. The staff at DRW College Prep reached out for a micro-grant on my behalf, to help me cover some of the costs of my upcoming procedure. Goodsend was able to provide funding to me extremely quickly. I was so grateful for their team and the donors in the Chicagoland community. Thank you all again for the help and hope you provided to me in a time of need!

I had bad eyesight and my father is my sole provider. My father hadn't been able to transfer my health insurance from my mom at the time, so we've had to pay more out of pocket for my eye care. I needed urgent help to pay for an eye exam and new pair of glasses. Thanks to Goodsend donors, I received a direct payment of $250, which helped tremendously. I've since gotten my insurance situation taken care of. Thank you to Goodsend and the community for helping me in my time of need!
